Description Reds “The Truth of Impermanence” LP A band that originally formed in 2004, as part of New York City’s close knit DIY hardcore scene, playing shows with the likes of Hot Cross, Ampere and Funeral Diner. Shortly after releasing the album is:means in 2006 (co-released by Strictly No Capital Letters, Ape Must not Kill Ape, Clean Plate etc.) they disbanded, only to reform in 2020 – and here we are now, with a second full-length album, recorded in 2025 at Permanent Hearing Damage Studio with Steve Roche of Saetia. Nine new songs that are redolent of both their past activities in the noughties (frantic-kinetic screamy energy) and (by my reckoning) a shared love of Revolution Summer/Washington DC post-hardcore (the impassioned lyrical leanings and guitar melodies of Ignition and Embrace etc.).
