Cased Colt Belt Model No.2 Paterson Revolver (C14640)

Serial number 335. Made circa 1838-1839. 31 caliber with a 4 ¾" barrel. This gun is in excellent condition with 90% of the original blue finish. Grips are very fine with 90% of the original varnish. This gun comes in its original factory case with all of the original accessories. All accessories are in very fine condition, this gun also has an extra matching cylinder. The stop of the case on the escutcheon is the name “Jas. L. Ross" We have found references to a James Llewellyn Ross who was a Major and fits the time period, but little else.
