Large French high glaze black ceramic panther with green enamelled eyes. Designed by E Pierre in 1930 and produced for Primavera by Ste Radegonde. Unsigned but a similar one can be seen in the Les Craqueles book by Hardy and Giardi as a centre fold on page 237. These are now getting very hard to find and rarely come up for sale. They were made in satin black, gloss black (like this one), dark red, pale green and dark green – Sometimes with a contrasting eye colour and sometimes without. It measures 23.5 inches (60cm) long, 8 inches (20cm) high. Immaculate condition. SOLD
